Nike Air Mags

11 Sep

Nike CEO Mark Parker announced the launch will coincide with the auctioning of 1,500 pairs of Nike Air Mags to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Google‘s Co-Founder Sergey Brin and his wife Anne Wojcicki have promised to match the bids up to $50 million dollars.

The auction will kick off at nikemag.ebay.com, and run through September 18th.

“We wanted to translate the excitement people have for the ‘greatest shoe never made’ and for the Back to the Future into positive action,” said Parker. “But the long term objective is to raise awareness so the Foundation can achieve their goal of eradicating Parkinson’s disease.”

Edible Candy Pen

30 Mar

“Edible Pen” is an idea by Dave Hakkens, a student at the Design Academy Eindhoven, in the Netherlands.

I first wanted to make something so I could chew on my pen without making it dirty. When looking at the pen I noticed that you only use the ink, the other stuff is just there to hold filling more comfortable. Isn’t it possible to eat the whole cover? That was my goal, a pen where you can chew on and entirely eat. First gathered at a lot of pens and looked what makes it good to chew on.
